Returns & Exchanges
Introduction:
- The domain www.houseofajita.com including any web-pages thereof is the web-site ("Website") of Ajita - A unit of Turning Fashions Pvt. Ltd. (hereinafter “Ajita”, "House of Ajita", “we”, “us” or “our”) having its Registered Office at 48A, Park Street, 4th Floor, Kolkata-700016, West Bengal, India.
- This policy sets out the terms and conditions, on fulfillment of which Ajita may permit you to either (i) return the products and/or (ii) exchange them for other products.
- This policy applies to all the products sold by Ajita through the Website. In store purchases have their own different sets of policies.
- You are requested to read our Terms and Conditions and other policies available on the Website in addition to this policy as the same are binding upon you.
- For complaints for missing/damaged/wrong items delivered : WE WILL REQUIRE AN UNBOXING VIDEO AS PROOF TO RAISE ANY SUCH CLAIMS.
Conditions for Returns or Exchange:
We have a simple and hassle-free return and/or exchange policy for certain products purchased from the Website provided the following conditions are fulfilled:
- For apparel, we offer a 3-day return policy. But, customized styles or any additions, alterations etc, once done are non-returnable and non-exchangeable.
- Products which are on sale are also non-returnable and non-exchangeable.
- In case you have used a coupon code to order a product, that qualifies as a non-returnable and non-exchangeable order.
- The product must be returned in its original condition along with the invoice, all labels, tags, authenticity cards, dust bags, designer boxes, hangers, freebies, if any, and other packaging intact sold as a part of the product.
- Any product sought to be returned or exchanged, should be unworn, unused, or unwashed. Products that are found to be worn, used, damaged, or soiled will not be accepted for return or exchange.
- Products returned under this policy will be subject to quality testing/inspection.
- In case of any return/exchange/alteration request for international orders, a restocking or return handling fee of Rs. 100 for orders within India or $50 for orders from out of India will be applicable. We do not offer amount credits back to source account or wallet. We will issue a gift card of the balance amount amount deducting the handling fee. This gift card will be valid until 6 months from date of issuance of card.
- Complaints for missing/damaged/wrong items delivered should be raised within 48 hours of delivery. WE WILL REQUIRE AN UNBOXING VIDEO AS PROOF TO RAISE ANY SUCH CLAIMS.
- In the event that the product to be returned satisfies the Statutory Refund Criteria, you will be entitled to a refund of the consideration for such product which will be given to you as a gift card. Whereas "Statutory Refund Criteria” means any one of the following cases –
- The product purchased by you does not conform to the characteristics or features listed on the website or otherwise agreed to in writing; or
- The product purchased by you is delivered late from the stated delivery schedule, except where such delay is on account of unforeseeable circumstances out of our control or any other force majeure.
In the event that the product to be returned does not satisfy Statutory Refund Criteria in the clause above, but satisfies Store Refund Criteria, you may be entitled to a refund of the consideration for such product in the form of a gift card. - Whereas “Store Refund Criteria” means any one of the following cases –
- The product purchased by you is not included in the list of non-returnable or non-exchangeable products under this policy; or
- Products customized to your requirements are not liable for refunds unless under the clause above.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in this policy, Ajita reserves the right to reject any request for the return and/or exchange of any products without giving any reasons for the same. In such cases, products will be sent back to the customer at the original shipping address.
- Customized or special delivery orders cannot be returned/exchanged.
- Any fresh order made with the gift card cannot be combined with any additional offer apart from those already mentioned in the website and cannot be combined with any other gift card. Shipping on the replacement or new order will be charged as per usual rates.
Returns or Exchange Procedure:
- You can initiate the returns/exchange procedure by writing an e-mail to info@houseofajita.com
- If you are not the actual purchaser but received the product from some other customer, (for example as a gift), you will have to email us to initiate the return process.
- You can return the product by selecting any one of the below options
- Ship it back to us by sending it to the address provided by us. You will be solely responsible to ensure that the product is delivered to us in good condition and that we will not be held liable for any damage caused during transit.
- For select pin codes within India, our delivery service can pick-up the product from you. This pick-up service will have a nominal amount charge (Rs. 200-400 approximately depending on the value and weight of the outfit) which we will deduct from the amount paid by you.
- We will send you a confirmatory e-mail upon receiving the products. Upon undertaking quality test and inspecting the product, we will inform you about its decision with respect to acceptance or rejection of the products.
- If we accept the return/exchange request, the adjusted value (After deducting shipping costs) of the product returned/exchanged will be sent to you via a gift card. However, if we reject the return/exchange we will ship the product back to you.
